This special event is reserved for the delight of children on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday afternoons. There are more and more participants every year.
So be warned that participation is limited to those who have signed up in advance!
 Workshops for decorating eggs, making hens from egg cartons and crafting wooden eggs with the wood turner.

On Sunday 1 st of June 2008 : the yearly favourite of locals.

This garden festival offers many activities for children such as free workshops (wood turning, rock climbing, creation of animal masks, kites, bird feeders …) punctuated with musical entertainment.

Demonstrations of boxwood pruning will be given by a local company specialized in pruning. The perfect opportunity to ask questions !

From dusk till midnight, Marqueyssac’s gardens will be lit up by one thousand
lights for an unforgettable evening walk, to be enjoyed with family or friends,

 Every Thursday evening, two thousand candles will be placed throughout the gardens and hundreds of tiny point lights will outline the cliff walk and falls.

At dusk, the romance of Marqueyssac and its extraordinary gardens is enhanced by this play of shadows and light, highlighting the beauty of the cliff and its vegetation.

When the night falls, it is a dream come true to discover the Dordogne valley with its majestic castles and most beautiful villages all illuminated : Domme, la Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Fayrac and Beynac…


Every Thursday, three musical entertainments punctuate the walk.

From dusk till midnight, every Thursday evening:
the 3 rd, 10 th, 17 th, 24 th and 31 th of July and the 7 th, 14 th, 21 th, and 28 th of August 2008.
Last admission at 23 :00 hours.

For a complete visit of the gardens, you need to come one hour before sunset.
Possible cancellation in case of bad weather forecast.
