Beginner’s rock climbing

Every morning in July and August except Saturday, from July 5th onwards.

 Reserved for children 6 years of age and older. 

The cliffs of Marqueyssac, situated above the Dordogne Valley, have been specially fitted out for introductory rock climbing. This activity strictly follows all current legislation and state-qualified instructors are present to ensure complete safety supervision.

Appropriate shoes are necessary for rock climbing.

Yes, the Gardens of Marqueyssac offer a climbing activity specially designed for children aged 6 to 11.
Supervised and fully secure, this introduction allows younger visitors to discover climbing in a natural setting, on rock faces adapted to their level.

Yes, a via ferrata is available at the Gardens of Marqueyssac, offering a more adventurous outdoor experience.
This cliffside route is equipped with safety features (cables, rungs), allowing participants to progress at height while enjoying spectacular views over the Dordogne Valley.
The via ferrata is accessible from age 8, with a minimum height of 1.30 m, and requires two adults to be present for any departure.

The Gardens of Marqueyssac offer a range of outdoor activities suitable for the whole family, including climbing for children, a via ferrata, walks, nature workshops and educational activities.
